ACCESSORIES BECOME THE OUTFIT

Clusters are such a key component of the southwestern jewelry landscape and this collection brings them center stage. In fact, we dedicated an entire print to them.

The Jewelry Junket print is a custom design exclusive to Double D Ranch that we created as a standout signature of the collection. It features scaled up iterations of classic cluster designs, taken from cuffs and pins and other pieces from either our own collections or the design archive. The illustrations consist primarily of turquoise with some hints of complementary purple spiny oyster against a deep navy background. The colors work together in a pleasant and tranquil way, and clusters inherently have an almost mesmerizing draw to them.

“There are many layers to the aesthetic appeal of a cluster,” explained Cheryl. “In a traditional cluster, you can usually expect a certain level of symmetry which is very pleasing to the eye. Incorporating so many stones provides the opportunity for either uniformity or diversity in stone shades that makes it visually interesting. And then, of course, for me, I’m always really in awe of the sheer craftsmanship that goes into creating a cluster, the lapidary skill and silversmithing is extraordinary, particularly when you get into pieces with tiny needlepoint stones. That’s not something you can adequately depict in 2D, but I think our design team did a really great job capturing the essence, and I’m thrilled we got the print to work in so many different pieces.”

That might be an understatement! We fashioned the Jewelry Junket print into everything from a top to a tank to a dress – even leggings and socks – so if you love it as much as we do, you have a million ways to wear it.

Oh, p.s. “accessories become the outfit” doesn’t mean you shouldn’t accessorize it! Go all out!
