Shopping for jewelry just hits different. It never goes out of style, it always fits, and you can literally love it for life.

It’s a long-running joke among our family that we only started Double D Ranch as an excuse to shop for jewelry. While there’s actually a whole lot more to it than that, we can’t deny that it’s a perk. Our appreciation for the artistry of southwestern jewelry has been a lifelong love. From our days marveling at the bejeweled ladies at the All American Futurity as children to sister trips to Santa Fe in search of that statement squash blossom, some of our favorite memories and most cherished treasures resulted from our own jewelry junkets. The thrill of the hunt, the drooling, the bargaining, and inevitably justifying the splurge to ourselves.

This collection is a celebration of those adventures. The apparel reflects the gem tones of ranging turquoises and purple spiny oysters, and more literally interprets it in scaled-up prints of our favorite pieces. And aptly, in this third installment of the Come Away with Me collections, we are taking you along on a jewelry junket. What we look for, what we’re currently loving, even what we bring with us; tips and terms to learn and discern what it is you’re seeking in a southwestern statement piece.

A jewelry junket is not simply a shopping trip. It’s an experience, an adventure, and an opportunity to acquire an heirloom.
