Willie Nelson has a number of trademarks -- his long braids, a denim jacket, the perpetually lingering scent of pot -- but really, what’s more Willie than a bandana? So, of course, we designed the Willie’s Picnic collection with him in mind, and dang near every piece in it could easily be accessorized with a bandana. The classic red or blue bandana works with the patriotic color scheme, and the laid-back retro feel of the collection makes it perfect for the lowkey vibe a bandana adds to your look.
As far as accessories go, bandanas are among the most effortless and versatile; they’re readily available and relatively affordable, and there are countless ways to wear one. Here are some of our favorites:
Start with a triangle fold. Then fold the cloth in a three-inch line, and keep folding until you get to the corner. Hold one of the ends with your thumb. Bring the other end around and tie in a knot. Be sure and pump that fist at the music festival.
Start with a triangle fold. Fold the top of the triangle to the flat end. Roll. Tie around your neck in a single or double knot. Time to picnic in the countryside!
Guess what you start with? The triangle fold! Next, fold the triangle about half an inch away from the straight edge. Fold both edges a half-inch toward the middle, then fold a half-inch toward the middle again. Now you are ready for three chords and the truth.

Oh so classic and easy. Fold bandana into a triangle, then fold the flat end over a couple of times. Tie around your neck. Giddyup!
Start with a triangle fold. Wrap it around the back of your head. Tie a loose knot on the top of your head with the ends. Tuck the top of the corner into the knot and tie tight. Tuck in the sides. Now get to work!
Fold bandana in half at the points, to form a triangle. Then, starting at the long end, fold the bandana down toward the point (1-2 inch fold). Once your hair is up in a ponytail or bun, wrap the folded bandana around your head and tie the ends in a secure knot. Then, tuck the loose ends underneath each side of the headband.
Roll a bandana down about half way. Cross ends around bag strap. Pull back through the top of the loop to secure.
