THE KEY TO CROCHET

Crochet, you say? Oh yeah, we love it, too! It’s artful, it’s tactile, and for a lot of us, it’s nostalgic. We are pleased as peaches that it’s making its way back to the mainstream.

But, the truth is, it’s also tricky. (Show-stopping fashion always is, isn’t it?) It can be difficult to make, it can be difficult to wear, and it can be difficult to care for. So with the longevity of our garments – and the sanity of our customers – in mind, we chose to be selective, sparing, and intentional with our incorporation of crochet into this collection. We let it be the statement sleeves on this gorgeous graphic tee, we dared to work it into this season’s statement vest, and we alluded to its aesthetic in the dramatic stitching of the bold biker jackets. The delicate knit of crochet is, by nature, prone to relax and lose its shape, but when it’s reinforced by something with a sturdier stability, it’s more resilient.

Because that’s the key to crochet – and life, really – blending strength and beauty in a way that brings out the best of both.
