Our sweater game is making a comeback.

In the early days of Double D Ranch, we had a pretty strong presence of sweaters, cardigans, and constructed knits. We had this darling little supplier we worked closely and consistently with out of New York, who would hand-knit all our designs. Well, we must’ve given them too much business, because about 15 years ago, they closed up shop and retired to a villa in Italy!

Since then, the struggle to find a quality knitwear supplier has been real. Last year, when Cheryl went to visit her son Jack in Peru, of course she made a work trip out of it. She visited a facility where women were hand-weaving garments, and alas! We once again had a supplier! We’re really excited to increase the presence of sweaters and structured knits in our collections.

In Wildcatter, our featured knit is the Amarillo Cardigan. It’s hand-knitted and cozy and made of neutral colors that you can throw on top of pretty much any outfit! It follows the patchwork trend that is pervasive throughout Wildcatter (like the Bunkhouse Blanket Jacket and the Blow Out Boots), and while it’s all woven of 100% alpaca, it is designed to give the illusion that consists of patched together pieces of Navajo blankets. Once you wrap into this thing, you may never want to get out!

Is the Amarillo Sweater still for sale… I can’t locate it… or the price…??
