It’s the ultimate icon of the cowboy lifestyle, and it’s showing up strong in accessories right now. From inlay to applique and belt buckles to boot shafts, country is cool again and we’re absolutely ‘hook’ed!

Listen, we know that the longhorn is far more universal than just a university mascot, but in this part of the state and particularly at this (the most wonderful) time of year, we can’t help but picture it as part of game day garb!

“Texas fans have it so good!” laughed Cheryl. “Longhorns are cool and classic, they’re en vogue, and right now, they’re everywhere. Do you know how much harder it is to look chic while you’re wearing a bear?! Or a horned frog?!”

“I’d ten times rather wear a horny toad than a Sooner!” interjected Hedy, who can’t resist a playful rivalry jab.

Labor Day weekend marks the kickoff of college football season, and that means it’s time to start sharpening your stadium style! While UT may have the advantage in aesthetic and icon availability, we’re trying not to play favorites.

“In our family alone, we have longhorns, horned frogs, Baylor Bears, Red Raiders, and little Lincoln loves his Aggies, so we’re all over the map!” Cheryl said. “There’s an outfit for every alma mater.”

Check out some cute ways to get gameday ready, DDR style!
