The denim pants in the Chisholm Trail collection are designed a little differently, and we’re feeling a little bit of the resistance, which is understandable – but overcome-able!

“Listen, we get it,” Cheryl said. “It’s hard to adopt and embrace a new jean style, especially when it comes to where we wear our waist.”

“It’s true!” Claire interjected. “Gals, we hung on to low rise for far too long, and we are NOT going back there! I promise you – this fit, when worn as designed, is going to do your womanly body and your overall aesthetic a favor. Not only can it camouflage ‘problem areas’, the high waist and wide leg makes your legs look longer, too!”

The Pitchwagon Ticking Pant and the Circle Dot Herd Pant are designed to be worn at your natural waist, which might be a little higher than what you’re used to, but we urge you to give them the ol’ college try!

We’re so sure that these pants can be pulled off by anyone, that we put together a whole little video with members of our design team and patterning department to discuss the elements that set these pants apart, as well as a couple DDR gals of different heights and sizes to demonstrate the wearability of these wardrobe builders. (Y’all know Doris Loredo isn’t giving any lipservice – if she vouches, she means it!)

Great pant for slender figure but not fuller figure. I wish SOMEONE would make a pleated denim trouser, think Hepburn. Anyone with tummie issues can not look good in this pant with shirts tucked in and if you leave shirt hanging out you loose the look.

Love seeing all the amazing DDR ladies rocking the high waist! They look fabulous. I have the pitch wagon ticking pant, and I LOVE them! They look so good with the mesh long sleeve top and a Sonora vest!

While the high wasted look is attractive on
models, it obliterates my 5.3 (26.5) waste line and, it really overwhelms and
makes me look matronly. I love the comfort
and look of low riders with a crop top on me.
So I don’t often buy DD pants because they
are usually waist high or higher even though
    I like the pattern
