PILE ON THE CHARM

It’s finally, finally, FINALLY here! The 2023 Wolf Pack Charm is here and it’s fabulous.

As much as we let y’all peek behind the scenes, there’s still some of the sausage stuffing you don’t see. At any given moment, there are an impossible number of plates spinning and every now and then, we drop one.

“We’re a couple months late releasing this year’s Wolf Pack charm, and it’s a testament to the devotion of our Pack that y’all noticed!” Cheryl said. “Poor Kristen started getting calls from people asking if they’d missed it, if we weren’t having one this year, if we were finished with Wolf Pack charms altogether…”

“And whose fault was that?” Audrey smirked (lovingly, of course, the way only a sister can).

“Weeeellllllll…” Cheryl laughed, before defending herself. “Ok, yes, I’ll be honest, I might’ve missed a deadline. They were supposed to be here for the annual Addiction Meetup this summer, that’s always the goal; that’s where they originated, so we try to have the charms ready for our Wolf Pack when they come to the Mothership. Well, production times and all that, we didn’t get them for the Yoakum party. We wanted them for the Fort Worth party, but when we did get that batch in, they weren’t quite right, so we had to tweak them, and so we missed that party, too. But gals, come hell or high water, we were going to get you a 2023 Wolf Pack charm and we’ve done it, they’re here, and we love them – we hope y’all will, too!”

The sterling silver charms are ornate and elegant this year, intricately hand engraved with flora and the signature DDR “D” on one side, and Western-style scrolling and commemorating the year on the verso. And, a subtle tip of the hat to our Wolfies that are still doing the day-to-day grind in the cattle industry, its shape is inspired by a traditional ear tag.

“You know, we’ve done a lot of homage to the wolf over the years,” Cheryl explained. “Howling at the moon, the paw print, et cetera, and this year, it was just on my heart to design something that was a nod to the cowgirl in us all.”
