Fun fact: The McMullens are partial to all things pickled – olives, okra, good old-fashioned pickles – so we have a natural hankerin’ for this hue. Greens are showing up strong this season, and layering shades from all over the spectrum creates a very fresh, very springy feel.

“This particular shade of green is the perfect poison,” Cheryl explained. “Especially in Desert Desperados, because it coincides with the cactus hues. Greens naturally layer well together – literally, that’s how you see it in nature – so it’s really fun to play with that from a design perspective.”

Like all colors, greens carry some symbolism. In this season, the deep saturated greens provide a reaffirming restorative feel, a revitalizing energy even. The pickle juice provides the POP.

“The pickle juice enhances the rest of the green palette,” Cheryl said. “It just adds that little something extra – like pickles on a hamburger!”

Oh, and ProTip: It pairs really well with pink!

I would love to find the jacket with the cactus and pink flowers at the top?
