    WIDE OPEN HAIR & MAKEUP

Much like the collection itself, the cosmetic approach to Wide open Trails aimed to be elevated, crisp, and classic.

“My inspiration was actually Italian Vogue,” Lisa said. “It had to be high-fashion. The collection is so elegant, elevated, high-end, monochromatic. And the setting was dramatic architecture and marble columns. The look needed to echo that kind of stoic beauty. Classic face, classic red lip, coiffed hair.”

FACE: Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation
“I do not live by the credo that more expensive makeup is inherently better – I love a $3 lip liner! – but Charlotte Tilbury is one of the brands I will say justifies the price tag. I wanted the girls to look flawless without it looking heavy, so I went with medium coverage and matte.”

BROW: CHANEL Boy de Chanel Eyebrow Pencil
“I’m sure readers will be excited and a little surprised that I’m not going to say ‘furry and blurry’! This overall aesthetic is a little more structured, so I actually opted for a pencil to be a bit more precise and filled in a classic eyebrow arch. Just don’t overdo it.”

EYE: Hourglass Mechanical Gel Eye Liner
“I kept the eye traditional and clean, a neutral lid with no shadow and classic eyeliner only on the upper lid. No wing, nothing crazy. I opted for Canyon, which is a brown that is dark enough but not as stark as black.”

CHEEK: Tom Ford Soleil Sheer Cheek Duo
“Just a light sweep of blush in a soft, sheer pink. Not a bronzer. More demure than sun-kissed, more corporate than cattle wrangler.”

    LIP: MAC Ruby Woo
“With a chic, monochromatic collection, it’s hard to resist a red lip. The gals can bust out their Ruby Woo again – I think the whole Wolf Pack bought a tube of it back when we did Giant! It’s a great lip, it seems to be universally flattering. And I like a matte lip for this look.”

    HAIR: Smooth and Sleek
“You’re going to want to look polished, you don’t need a lot of texture or volume. A slicked-back pony would work, or just straight and sleek worn down. I’d recommend a styling spray, like Kenra Smoothing Spray, that will help tame flyaways and give a little shine.”
