Nothing says summer like sundresses and shortie boots.

Don’t get us wrong, we consider shortie boots to be seasonless – tuck your skinnies into a pair, let them peek out from under your bootcut jeans or your broom skirt – but in the summer in the south, they’re an absolute necessity. Long-shafted boots can trap a whole lot more heat than you may realize and suddenly, you’re in sweat city. Shortie boots are the key to give your look that cowgirl kick in a way that keeps you cool. All the style, none of the sweat!

    NEW KICKS ON THE BLOCK

We recently debuted two new styles in shorter silhouettes, and they’re sellin’ like hotcakes! The Spaghetti Western Boot has a classic cowboy boot vibe with traditional toebox and side stitching, but with a chic shaft that only hits mid-calf, so it’s kind of the best of both worlds. Plus, it comes in a jillion colors, so you can basically have a pair for every outfit.

The other is the Chisolm Boot, which is a gorgeous hair-on hide in a rich brown-and-white paint pony pattern with stretchy side panels and classic studding. They’re definitely statement shorties, and remember, animal print is a neutral, so there’s nothing you can’t wear them with.

    FOREVER FAVORITES

We’ve hit some homeruns with shortie boots in our day, styles that stay in constant demand, year after year and season after season. The Apache Kid Boot is almost impossible to keep in stock, as soon as we get a shipment in, it seems like we turn around and ship them right back out, and some of you gals have a pair in just about every color we’ve made – even the Apache’s sassy sister-boot, the Skat Kat.

The Cattlemen Boot is another one that always stays in demand; the coloring is classic and neutral, and that heel – we call the Cattlemen the “sexy shorties”.

The Little Joe Boot is a summertime staple, there’s just something in the stars!

And of course, we can’t forget our celebrity shorties, made famous by the legendary leading lady of country music, Tanya Tucker – the Old San Antonio Rose Boot!

Let us know which ones are your favorites – whether they’re the ones you always reach for or the white whales on your wishlist!
