You know that feeling when you finish a really good book, and you loved it so much you wish you could read it again for the first time? Prepare to feel something akin to that. Alanna’s enthusiasm about her initial encounter with Double D Ranch is so genuine and pure and downright infectious, that it’ll almost make you wish you, too, could relive the magic of discovering DDR for the first time.

Alanna Kaivalya is a Texas-born, Colorado-raised cowgirl at heart who lost touch with her roots and, in a sense, herself for a little while, living – as she puts it – in a life, in a body, and in a situation that just didn’t quite “fit”. Recently, she embarked on a journey to rediscover and redefine herself, and somewhere along the way, she found herself in the mirror at the Mothership feeling unexpectedly authentic and empowered.

She’s as bright as she is beautiful; Alanna is Ph.D.-educated, an author, an educator, a speaker, and an all-around radiant soul. Unsurprisingly, with a resume like that, she’s also a captivating storyteller. In just a few minutes with her at the Meetup this summer, Alanna was able to eloquently express something we’ve spent years trying to adequately articulate about who a Double D woman is, and how donning it just makes you feel different.

So, without further ado, we’ll let her tell it.

Alanna is on the precipice of publishing her fifth book – one we think will resonate with the Wolf Pack – entitled “The Way of the Satisfied Woman: Reclaiming Feminine Power” and this benevolent beauty is hosting a giveaway exclusive to DDR gals for three free autographed copies. Y’all go enter!
