STYLE SECRETS: CHILI PATINE
Y’all ready to get made up like Chili Patine? (Pun intended… ya know, since Chili Patine is made up…) Because our stylist extraordinaire, Lisa Martensen, is sharing her inspo for capturing the essence of Chili, plus some surprising tricks of the trade and her #ProPicks products she’s obsessing over for perfecting your coif.
FOR THE FACE
“I found my inspiration in Santa Fe,” Lisa explained. “For Chili Patine, it’s the colors of the pueblo, of the adobe, that are reflected in the eye shadow. I did a dramatic sweeping eye using a terra cotta shade – ‘All The Way’ – from one of my go-to palettes, the NARS Extreme Effects. The eye is the star of this look, the shadow is bold with a hint of shimmer, and I applied it to the lid as well as softly lined underneath the eye with a brush. Nothing is sharp, but it is strong. Of course, no mascara, it would be too harsh and stark for this look. Go with a bronzer rather than a blush, keep in the color scheme; I blended some RMS Cream Bronzer on the cheeks. Keep the lips neutral; I added a little more color to Kaylin’s than Tory’s, but still subtle. Oh, and as always, brows brows brows!”
