This is quickly becoming one of our favorite Fort Worth happenings!

A crumb of context for those who aren’t familiar: Every October, there is a whole celebration in the Fort Worth Stockyards called the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering. The event features a ranch rodeo, chuckwagon cookoff, children's poetry contest, Western swing dances, cowboy music and poetry, a trappings show, and horsemanship clinics. It’s a whole big thing, it’s been happening since 1991 – it’s an awesome weekend in Cowtown and people come from all over to experience it.

Well, for the last couple of years, we have had the pleasure of having our own little side event in conjunction with (though technically unofficial and unincorporated) the Cowboy Gathering, a fun and fabulous Sip & Shop with Red’s remarkably lovely wife – and longtime friend of the brand – Gail Steagall. We invite our friends, she invites her friends, and we all get together in the Fort Worth flagship store for snacks, shopping, and a couple cocktails. We’ve only been doing it a couple years, but we don’t mind saying, it gets better every year!

This year was particularly special, because it always feels good to do good, and 20% of the evening’s sales were donated to the Red Steagall Institute for Traditional Western Arts Foundation.

We had delicious bites catered by Art of Grazing and cocktails from The Duke, Timeless Spirts, and we got to catch up and play dress-up with some of our very favorite gals!
