Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit quite like some Christmas “spirits”! The holidays usually mean a lot of gatherings of friends and family, from full-on cocktail parties to casual happy hour by the fire. Whatever your celebration style or flavor profile, we’ve compiled a list of Christmas cocktail recipes that are sure to have you feeling holly and jolly!
Pomegranate Rum Punch
We snagged this Christmas creation from Country Living.
INGREDIENTS
4 hibiscus tea bags
1 small cinnamon stick, smashed
1 c. pomegranate juice
1 c. spiced rum
1/2 c. fresh navel or blood orange juice, plus slices for serving
1 (750-milliliter) bottle Prosecco or other sparkling wine, chilled
Pomegranate seeds, for serving
DIRECTIONS
Place tea bags and cinnamon stick in a large measuring cup. Top with 1 cup boiling water; let steep for 5 minutes. Strain and cool to room temperature.
Combine tea, pomegranate juice, rum, and orange juice in a pitcher. Slowly stir in Prosecco. Serve over ice with orange slices and pomegranate seeds.
Jack Frosties
Obviously, we were drawn to this frozen concoction from Delish.com because of the name -- we all love our Jack McMullen!
INGREDIENTS
1 c. vodka
1 c. Prosecco
1/2 c. Blue Curaçao
1/2 c. lemonade
6 c. ice
Lemon wedge, for rimming
White sanding sugar, for rimming
DIRECTIONS
In a blender, combine vodka, Prosecco, blue curaçao, lemonade, and ice. Blend until combined.
Run a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass then dip in sanding sugar.
Pour frosties into rimmed glasses and serve immediately,
Peppermintini
We know, we know… Just because you put it in a martini glass doesn’t make it a “martini”. But this sweet mint-chocolate concoction from Delish.com is way too pretty, festive, and tasty not to include in your Christmas cocktail party!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1/4 c. crushed candy canes
6 oz. white chocolate liqueur
4 oz. vodka
2 oz. peppermint schnapps
2 tbsp. heavy cream
Ice
3 small candy canes
DIRECTIONS
Pour melted chocolate onto a shallow plate, and place crushed candy canes on another shallow plate. Dip rims of martini glasses first in chocolate, then in candy canes. Pour remaining chocolate into the bottom of glasses and swirl to coat the bottom ⅓ of glasses with chocolate. Place glasses in freezer while you prepare the drink.
Combine white chocolate liqueur, vodka, peppermint schnapps, and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker. Fill to the top with ice and shake until cold. Divide drink between 3 glasses and garnish with a candy cane before serving.
