Dream Visions: Ghost Dancer

The ghost dance was a Native American belief system prophesized to bring a peaceful end to white expansion.  Initially the Paiute believed that by dancing the ritual “circle dance” they would be reunited with the spirits of the dead and bring peace, prosperity and unity to all native peoples.  Double D Ranch’s Ghost Dance Collection recognizes this period of our American heritage and pays tribute to these brave peoples. .

The ‘Ghost Dancer’ color palette is a combination of both afore mentioned palettes, but with a powerful emphasis on old regime military’s passementerie.  A full range of metallic tones features gunmetal grey, silver, and gold unusually mixed with russet hues of “Chokecherry” and “Ganado Red”. Military references return with a new angle for Double D Ranch.  When viewed through the Ghost Dance lenses, the combination of decadent regalia with symbolic Native American costume produces new romantic graphics and silhouettes for the 2013 fall season.
